If you’ve been waiting for a VOIP client for your iPhone – up until recently made extra-difficult by the fact that third-party software was blocked – then while you wait for the newly-unlocked, hacked & cracked handset to be fully exploited you might want to try Jajah. A web-based VOIP offering, it offers cut-price calls not only through your iPhone but through any phone.
Operation seems relatively simple; enter your own number and the number you’re trying to call into the web-form, hit “Call” and your phone will ring. Meanwhile, Jajah is calling the other party, waiting to patch the two of you in together.
As is the usual way, unless you and your friends are all Jajah users (and how many of us have heard of the service before now?) you’ll be paying for the calls. The question is, are the fees they charge less than your existing provider demands?

The service is excellent. I use it all the time for my long distance calls. If you are calling another Jajah user the call is free. If you call someone else the charge is very low. I am in Canada and I can call Israel and talk for an hour for less than $2.00! And the great thing is you don’t need headphones or are you tied to your computer. You can initiate the call and then turn off your computer if you want. Cell phone to landline or any other way.
I use jajah to talk with my mother for free on a regular basis. She lives in Louisiana and I live in Pennsylvania. We chat for half an hour using our regular phones — no headphones needed — quality is good and it costs nada. And no contract either. If I had an iPhone or any smartphone, I could place the call directly from the phone without doing it through a browser.
The wait for a VoIP for your IPhone or Smartphone, or WiFiPhone, or Mobile… is OVER. Thanks to Rebtel –
Rebtel lets you make international VoIP calls in exactly the same way as you normally do – from a mobile or landline to another, via your contact list, at the touch of a button. Every call with Rebtel is a local call – no contract, no downloads, no special equipment – just great service and low, low rates & even virtually FREE calls with a Smart Call – (to see how it works, see our fun flick at http://www.rebtel.com/en/How-it-works/Dont-click-here/
Unlike Jajah, which requires repeatedly accessing their website, Rebtel assigns local numbers for the caller/recipient via their web site http://www.rebtel.com or mobile site http://www.mobile.rebtel.com during one quick visit. After that, you never need to visit http://www.rebtel.com again, since those numbers are permanent ones, and can be saved to the address book. Then, just call your friends…
Enjoy your phone!
The post about Rebtel is basically an ad. If you compare Jajah with Rebtel you will find that Jajah is way more straightforward.
