Klarke Member	# Posted: 2 Oct 2007 02:02:38 [Reply] So I broke my iPod touch screen(with Applecare) two days after getting it. Any suggestions on how I get Apple to fix it. (Yes I know accidental damage isn't covered) I mean lie about it. i.e. Tell them the headphone jack isn't putting music through, then hope they just send another out? I've done this before with old iPod when I needed to get a new one with no scratches. I'm not posting to discuss whether what I have done or what I want to do is ethical, but rather to know if anyone has a better ideas for solving my broken iPod Touch screen problem. Would there have been a case on the market when the iPod was released this probably wouldn't have happened. Grr.

Da Kid Jordan Member	# Posted: 3 Oct 2007 14:05:49 [Reply] hey man just call up your local apple dealer and talk to them bout the problem. i called my nearest one (because my iPhone screen started spazing out then turned itself off and now my touch screen wont work) but i told them what happened and now they are sending out a loner phone for me until they fix mine and if they cant then i keep the new loner phone, so my advice CALL APPLE haha they might help

boldsteel Member	# Posted: 12 Dec 2007 15:59:08 [Reply] Hey i called apple its 200 bucks and i think that really sucks! it may be different with the long waranty but i don't know... i wish it could be replaced with plexi-glass... hmm time will tell
