I agree the iPhone is on a slower EDGE network, but there are plenty of hotspots around allowing me to use SlingPlayer to catch up on my favorite shows. Look at the T-Mobile Dash, it's on T-Mobile's EDGE, yet still works fine around hotspots. SlingPlayer recently became available for Mac, so that's very encouraging that it might be available for the iPhone down the road.
