Early Adopters of the iPhone slightly perturbed over recent price cut

So first, they released the iPhone for $600 for the 8GB version, then they subtracted $200 just 2 months later and the early adopters were furious. Now they have decided to continue with their policy of not offering refunds, but $100 Apple Store giftcards.

I know the difference between 400 and 600 is 200, not 100, but you did get it two months earlier as an early adopter. $100 in store credit is always better than a company you love(d) telling you that’s what you get for being an early adopter.

iPhone price drop

The NY times did an article interviewing several people who had stated their disagreements with Apple’s actions and even explaining Apple’s actions going so far as to use the Razr as an example since it went from $499 with a 2 year contract at the beginning of the year to $99 with a two year contract by the end of the same year.

Well in their article they used the infamous picture of our own Vincent Nguyen in his egress from the Apple store after purchasing his iPhone, so I took the time and got his thoughts on the manner, since the caption below his picture said “He might wish he had waited.” I just asked him if this was true. His response, “I don’t regret being one of the first to purchase the iPhone and given the opportunity to do it again, I wouldn’t think twice about it.” Well kids, I think that pretty much sums it up.

Good call Vin! Damn straight it was worth it. They could have at least waited 6 months though. The $100 is a very nice gesture though.

D**n! I bought an Acura RDX last August on the day it arrived at my dealer. Now they’re selling them for less! WTF?!

    I demand a refund! Where’s my refund?!

What? I got the use of it before anyone else had one? I don’t care! Acura hates me!

    Grow up, people.
