The Dev Team has currently shifted most of their focusto the iPod Touch and producing new applications for the PMP, perhaps because of its increasing popularity as a PDA. However they promise that iPhone development will continue.

you just need to restore the iPod in iTunes. It will delete everything from your iPod (factory settings), but you can easily sync it again

OMG i mega lucked out!! i forgot my password n started doing things to my phone and it restarted but didnt have my password or anything! im so happy :), for anyone who wants to give it a try hears what i did,, 1st i clicked restore and then back up all my files then went through the proccess but because i have my iphone on vodaphone i cant update my phone or else it wont work and will perminantly break so u unplugged the cable and canceled the update. after this i tryed my password a few more times then it locked again so i synced my phone then slide it so it canceled and pluged it back in, after this it just restarted itself and tada my phone had no password but everything was in place so i was majorly confused at what actually happened,, if you try this can you send me an e-mail at kieran.carroll@tesco.net and tell me if it works for you or not thanks

ok, had this problem myself, all you do is plug it in to a computer with iTunes, and after it tells you that you can’t access the information because it’s locked, hold the power button (on the top left) and the round button on the front. It’ll take a few seconds, but keep holding until it gives you the option to restore it to factory settings. This will erase everything on it, and depending on what size and how full it is, it may take a couple hours, but you’ll have a brand new iPod. enjoy!

read jimi thats what did it for me he said you hold down the round button and top button for a long time until the itunes button and cord come up then you just restore it when you here the noise from yo0ur computer then exit out of itunes and go back in what a life saver he is

Okay guys heres how to get into a locked iPod Touch or iPhone. 1st you plug it into iTunes and it will say that you need to unlock it. Next you hold the home button and power button down at the same time to restart the iPod but when it goes to the little apple icon let go of the power button and hold the home button down until you see a picture of a usb cord with a pointing arrow towards the word iTunes. When you see this your computer will say that it found a iPod trying to restart. Then from here just hit restore(i know it sucks but deal with it) and your iPod is basically brand new. Enjoy :)

ive had my phone 6 months n its worked fine but i updated it to the new 3.0 version however i didnt have the correct itunes to use it with so i installed that n now when i connect my phone to it, it says i need my passcode but theres nowhere to type it into. i cant use my phone because when its plugged into itunes theres a cable n itunes sign n emergency button. it’s the same when its not plugged in too. anyone know what to do?

I recently brought the new version of the iPhone. A lot like all of you i seemed to have locked myself out after trying to change the password and not remembering it. I cant wipe the memory of my iPhone because it has some important information on it. Can someone please email with instructions as to what to do? Ok for every body who has a disabled iPhone iPod touch and it say disabled or forgot passcode just connect to iTunes turn iPhone/iPod off hold power for 3 seconds don’t relese power and hold power and home for 10 and relese the power but not home and hold home for 15-25 seconds and now u can restore even if it’s passcode locked.

BF found an iPhone and followed lbcslayer and eric’s instructions to unlock the phone. it worked. however as i am about to “restore and update” it says “iTunes will verify the restore with Apple. after this process is complete you will have the option to restore your contacts, calendars etc..” What does this mean? Will Apple be pulling my personal info from my iTunes on my mac?
