Not only has the iPhone 2.0 software been released a day early for first-gen handset owners, bringing functionality like push email, but it's already been unlocked. The iPhone Dev Team have in fact been working on early builds of Firmware 2.0 since it went into beta testing, and reached an unlock and jailbreak solution before Apple even released the official version.

It has been revealed the prices that Vodafone in Italy will sell the iPhone 3G for without a new agreement. According to the Vodafone Italy iPhone 3G web site, the device will sell for €499/€569 ($773/$881) for the 8GB/16GB models. This is quite a price for sure, but according to some sources this is not that bad of a price in the Italian smart phone market.

We are but four days away from Apple's land mark WWDC event in San Francisco. Being so close, it is only natural that the rumors are running wild over the event. The now infamous Pwnage tool has been enjoying making it's way around the mac for some time now. Many people have already taken advantage of this great application on their Mac, and done some serious iPhone pwning. Until now, Windows users that do not have access to a Mac have been out of luck, but that is about to change.

Arch iPhone hacker Zibri has announced version 3.0 of his nifty ZiPhone unlocking software, with a number of usability and problem-fix tweaks. Still a free download for anybody unhappy with their iPhone being tied to one carrier, ZiPhone now takes care of problems with WiFi functionality after unlocking, allows for customised plugins and adds an embedded app installer.

The iPhone Dev Team have once again proved their worth by Jailbreaking Apple's Firmware 2.0 for the iPhone - yes, the firmware that won't be officially launched until June. The screenshot they provided - with a video apparently coming soon - shows apps running on the new firmware, which would normally require an as-yet-unawarded developer's certificate.
