Hey all, there's a lot of excitement here at the Apple Store on 5th Ave., Manhattan. I just scored a peak at the new backside of the store. Not much to see yet, so stay tune.

We're used to hearing about people getting rowdy at game console launches, but this is one of the first attempted muggings that I've heard of at a phone launch. Steven Levy was being interviewed by Fox news when a man ran up and wrestled a device from the reporters hands.

I was in the right place at the right time when I snagged this clip of Steven Levy with Newsweek, being interviewed by Brian of CNBC. If you recall, Steven is one of two people in Manhattan and one of four people in the country to receive a review unit.

Being among the first to line up for the iPhone already paid off. Why? Our staff managed to score an iPhone plus a full two-year service from a giveaway contest sponsored by Imagination Games.

The wait is almost over, and it will definitely be worth every single second living on the streets of Manhattan over the past two days.
Remember that Apple and AT&T will close down for a few hours and reopens at 6PM local time to start selling the iPhone. The 4GB and 8Gb sell for $499 and $599, respectively.
