Early bird gets the worm, MY iTablet won an 8GB iPhone plus 2 years of service

Being among the first to line up for the iPhone already paid off. Why? Our staff managed to score an iPhone plus a full two-year service from a giveaway contest sponsored by Imagination Games.

Tetris Cubes by Imagination Games

Their PR rep passed out a number of these so-called TETRIS Cubes to those of us camped outside Apple’s flagship 5th Ave store. Imagination issued a challenge; if we can put their brand new TETRIS Cube back together before the iPhone goes on sale, Imagination will pay for our new iPhone plus two years of service!

This TETRIS Cubes puzzle is deceptively simple and has only 12 pieces with 9838 solutions. Simply find one and you’re a genius. I must say that one of our staff is a genius because she figured TETRIS Cubes out within minutes in front of a dozen or so witnesses. The PR rep didn’t believe that she was capable of solving the puzzle so quickly, so he asked her to solve it a second time to prove it. Which she had no problem doing. Amazing.

As a result, MY iTablet scored an 8GB iPhone plus a two-year service with AT&T.

Imagination’s CEO Shane Yeend said, “We thought that the iPhone was the biggest product launch on the planet in 2007 and with lots of people with lots of time on their hands what better way to get everybody talking about our biggest launch of the year.”

Today at 3PM, Imaginations PR rep will return to talk to us about how the company plans on getting our winning prize.

I think Imagination are a cool company. They are the ones that do the Deal or no Deal DVD Game.

They launched the Tetris cube at Toy Fair this year, its an awesome puzzle, so much better than the Rubicks Cube
