New patent outlines multi-touch swipe gestures for iPhone keyboard

Wow. A new patent application for iPhone during Christmas holiday! The new patent called Swipe Gestures for Touch Screen Keyboards and creditted to Wayne Westerman. Seems it's very useful additions to the iPhone's on screen keyboard. But MacRumors says that Westerman multi-touch patent applications "always seem to be more ambitious than practical". iPhone Buzz Week in Review - Week 32 2008

A lot of iPhone news this week, folks, so let's jump right in. First up, the App Store was repeatedly in focus as various apps were pulled. Box Office, the app that let you check movies times from your iPhone was pulled, then the ridiculous I Am Rich app was yanked. MagicPad, Bringing Copy and Paste, Now Available

We talked about it last week, but now it's finally arrived. MagicPad has hit the App Store! You can get out all of your copy and paste needs with this $3.99 app. But wait, there are a few drawbacks. As you know, one of the biggest complaints about the iPhone--both first-gen and 3g--is that you cannot copy and paste. It's such a basic function, after all.
