Semi-Copy and Paste Coming to iPhone

As you know, one of the biggest complaints about the iPhone--both first-gen and 3g--is that you cannot copy and paste. It's such a basic function, after all. Would it really be that difficult to include? And while Apple is still keeping mum about whether they will be incorporating the ability anytime soon, another company is stepping up to the plate.

Proximi has created an app called MagicPad, which will provide iPhone users with the simple ability to copy and paste--within this app only, though. While this is pretty much a glorified version of "Notes" it also allows you to change font, font size, style and color.

So, if you need to do some text editing, try to do it in this app. However, without the ability to copy from other apps or from mail, let's say and paste into MagicPad, I don't see what's so revolutionary. It seems to be more of a demonstration that yes, copy and paste can work on here, than anything else. You can, however, copy and paste between notes within MagicPad.

I Totally argree. For the amount Apple charges for thier got-to-have-it device, it should there. My only guess it a patent thing and they are working on it.
