AT&T lowering iPhone costs?





BusinessWeek says that AT&T may offer a limited data plan with a $10 monthly reduction.  Since AT&T has been widely criticized for the cost of the iPhone plans since the device was first released, the report speculates that it’s a part of the negotiations to keep AT&T as the exclusive carrier for the Apple’s device.

att_mouth_of_sauronApple plans to introduce a new version of iPhone software in June, and it may be followed by unveiling a new device. The report also says that AT&T will reduce the up-front price of the new iPhone by as much as $100, to $99 and even will offer the prepaid iPhone services.
