Apple will probably introduce its next iPhone (as well as the final version of its iPhone 3.0 software) on June 8 –the first day of Apple’s 2009 Worldwide Developers Conference, The Business Insider reports.
More important: Will Apple CEO Steve Jobs present — or at least make an appearance — at WWDC? His medical leave is not scheduled to end until “late June,” so maybe not. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Steve made a cameo, either to show off the new iPhone or to announce that he was retiring as CEO.
WWDC, the premier technical event for developers and IT professionals innovating with Apple platforms, will take place June 8-12. Over 1,000 Apple engineers will be at Moscone West Expo Hall in San Francisco to present the latest Apple technologies.

Looking at the new type of manufacturing for the Macbook Pro, I think this might be a hint at what’s to come in the new iphone. So figure new unibody design in aluminum, probably 32Gigs (Flash has come down in price), the 3.0 upgrade, and maybe something to do with the camera. That is my thinking.
