Apple iPhone price and release dates
We have gotten word that UK Apple store employees are giving out the approximate release date for the iPhone. So if you can, rush out to your local Apple store and ask. Or if the UK is a bit far to go for the latest scoop, you can read a transcript between a customer and an Apple employee.
Andy: and would you like anything else?
Me: The iPhone is available to pre-order yet is it by any chance?
Andy: (laughs) no, unfortunately. We’ve had great interest in it, and it’ll be shipping in October in the UK according to the internal email this morning.
Me: Great! and yeah I figured you’ve had a lot of interest due to you adding an option to your phone store menu to enquire about “Exciting new things announced at MacWorld.” His name changed & emphases added by me.
Only nine months until our friends in the UK will be able to get their hands on one. Now the big question is if Apple is going to have one dedicated carrier as in Canada and the US. We’ll keep you posted!

$499 for the 4GB model - with a 2-year contract
$599 for the 8GB model - with a 2-year contract

the price seems to be a little extreme for my wallet
but i guess quality has its price
however, due to its probable popularity,
i might make a suggestion;
the adolescent population is considerable and would most likely purchase this product (if they can afford it might i add)
advertisement should focus among people 16-30, your largest consumer group
i might buy one, but seeing as i already have a) a phone and b) an MP3/video player, i find little use paying an additional 500$ to replace them, as will thousands of others unless the price is marked down

You should offer a lower price for 2yr agreement you will sell alot more okay.

I just spoke to a rogers employee in Canada, and according to him the iPhone will be available in Canada in November on Rogers.

the iphone is worth the money i live in canada but have a vacation home in the u.s., my uncle bought one and he seems to be very happy with it so far. very easy to manuver and the glass screen adds great durability.
the iphone will releasing in Canada quarter 4 so in october to december.
that price is steep for been on a plan but having full internet, phone, day timer, music, video and brand new technology your going to pay a premium
