Rumors are persisting that the event being held this week to talk about the future of the iPhone we will learn of a new device. That new device is widely expected to be a version for networks other than AT&T.
The next generation iPhone is expected to get a new camera from OmniVision. The camera the firm makes supports 1080p video recording and high still image resolutions.
Verizon Wireless made fun of the iPhone in commercials for a while, but the company is now ready for the device. Verizon’s CEO has said the network is ready for the device and rumors suggest it may get one soon.
Verizon = CDMA = no iphone. Verizon CEO was saying that an iphone on Verizon was Apples call, not theirs, but that they would gladly take the iphone (I bet). There is nothing about that comment from the Verizon CEO that would suggest a deal is in place or even close to that. In fact, quite the opposite. Maybe this will happen, but if I were a betting man, I’d bet the farm that you won’t see a Verizon iphone in 2010 (or any other year until they go LTE)

I’ve been hearing a lot of these rumors lately and its not unexpected, people have been wanting the iphone offered on something besides At&t for a long time. Not sure verizons the best way to go but maybe im wrong on that. Wish they would just open it up to Tmobile.
No, Verizon’s CEO spoke with Apple and Apple said that they are coming up with two new iPhones. One is to improve AT&T’s and the other is a CDMA phone. Also, taking a look at the Blackberry Tour, this is proof that Verizon is working on not being only a CDMA company. It requires the SIM card, and will work into Europe. I got that information from eWeek.
