My iPhone weekly rewind 03:04:07

The past week was one of the best iPhone coverage since its announcement back on January 9, 2007. We ran news, rumors and reports on a number items ranging from surveys, to rumors of a firmware for the iPod to give it an iPhone-like Cover Flow. Then there are a number of articles around the Goldman Sachs Technology Investment Symposium where Tim Cook iterated Apple’s objective to sell 10M iPhone in 2008.

There was also a survey that showed some consumers aren’t willing to pay $500 for the iPhone, while Stanly Morgan increased its projection for the number of iPhone sales to hit 8M for 2007, based on a proprietary survey.

Other odds and end iPhone news and rumors included the first ever iPhone ad aired on the Oscars, Apple is still planning on releasing the iPhone Bluetooth headset, Tim Cook stating “free phones are worthless,” and how can we forget the doubleshot casing patent awarded to Apple – which is currently being used on the Zune.

The biggest story to hit My iPhone is definitely the JAJAH VoIP for the iPhone. While it’s not a true VoIP solution in a sense, it’s a cheaper solution for those needing to make international calls.

In other remix articles, Meizu picked the perfect week to announce prices for the miniOne. Price starts at $195 for the 4GB model without a camera while the 8GB will cost $285. Add a camera to the miniOne and you’re looking at a price tag of $310 for the 4GB and $400 for the 8GB. I have to admit; the miniOne is going to be one of the best iPhone clones to be release later this year, in terms of form, function and price.

The video below is one of the best iPhone skins for the Pocket PC – ever. It’s so damn good that Apple had the original copy yanked from Youtube. Download the iPhone skin for Wisbar Advance here.
