In today’s news, Quantum publicly denied preparing suit again Apple over the iPhone’s screen technology. A video surfaced, demonstrating an iPhone-like cover flow for the iPod. The tipster didn’t reveal when we can expect the firmware.

I’m relieved someone passed along the song played in the iPhone ad, hitting the tube last during the Oscars last night.
There’s a rumor folks living in Europe may see a 3G version of the iPhone as early as January of 2008.
Some remix news around the blogosphere: Computerworld’s Haskin thinks Apple might be repeating Newton mistakes. I disagree with Haskin; Apple today isn’t the same company that launched the Newton way back when. Another rumor claiming World of Warcraft will be available for the iPhone. Techworld thinks Palm is doomed! Apple TV is delayed to mid-March?
The iPhone ad verdicts are in. My iPhone ran a poll when the first Apple iPhone ad “Hello†ran last night. Within a 24-hour period, 221 visitors voted on how they rate the ad.
Results:
- 30% or 67 visitors really dig the ad and thought it was hot
- 24% OR 56 visitors gave the iPhone ad an above average rating
- 21% or 46 visitors gave it an ok rating
- 11% or 24 visitors thought it was average
- 6% or 13 visitors gave it mediocre rating
- 7% or 15 visitors thought it’s crappy – how shocking, perhaps these folks are Windows Mobile fans
I had asked whether Apple was going to advertise the iPhone beyond the Oscars, and the answer is yes. I saw the ad towards the end of 24 tonight.
Fast forwarding to tomorrow, I’ll have some time to write up the article demonstrating a new user interface that’ll knock your socks off – and no it’s not the Prada or iPhone. So stay tune.
I’m closing out the day with a video from Catherine of ShinyMedia – giving us a brief walk through of the LG Prada phone. The user interface is mighty sleek. Enjoy!
