Latest iPhone clay-based not silicon

Starting the day with something funny, we’ve already seen the knitted iPhone and a very impressive wood & aluminium facsimile, but how about a clay iPhone?  Apparently intended as part of a prank on his wife, Flickr user vaughn235 put together a tactile looking iPhone copy – complete with box and dock – made out of Sculpey Premo modelling clay.

I’m now trying to think of other unusual materials you could make an iPhone replica out of.  Obviously there’s going to be a huge market for ice iPhone sculptures at geek weddings, and maybe a large polystyrene iPhone that children could use as a boogie board at the beach.

this person is extremely talented! I would pay 400 bucks for this. its amazing how he put all those little details. what a talented artist he is. a 25 year old that can already create great replicas of things sure has a good looking future.

I admit, this is a pretty good replica. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything like this ever before. If I didn’t already have an iPhone I would want one of these.
