The cavalcade of "made for iPhone" websites continues, and while I was moderately harsh on fluther.com for their simple page resizing effort, Digg's efforts look a tad more impressive. Coder Joe Stump managed to craft their iPhone app in just 48hrs (earning himself a free phone from Digg helmsman Kevin Rose), and rather than just slicing up the pages to fit in the long, narrow display he's actually taken advantage of some of the handset's innovative UI features.

Current features include:
- Native iPhone-like story scrolling
- Mini permalink pages with top 5 comments
- Login and Digging
- Pagination
- Jump to any topic
And they're working on showing the top stories from the last 24hrs or 7 days. What's particularly nice is that, unlike say YouTube, you can still go to the full Digg website on your iPhone and use all the content and functionality there. This new app is intended as an addition rather than a pure replacement.
