Reptar,

The point of charging multiple devices at once is that you don't need to have 5 power supply units plugged in at once, or 5 units to carry around in your bag when you travel.

Suppose a family of four needs to charge their cell phones at home or on a trip. They can all drop them on the pad overnight along with an iPod or what have you, and everything is good to go in the morning.

The current offerings are more of a proof-of-concept so that manufacturers can see a practical application and begin incorporating the technology into their devices natively.

Imagine a desk at a hotel or an office that will instantly power and charge your laptop, blackberry and iPod while you work, or imagine a car with a tray for your cellphone and iPod so that you can just drop them into it and provide power to them as you drive.

Since WildCharge doesn't manufacture the phones, mp3 players or PCs themselves and only provide the wireless charging technology, the only option is to incorporate "some ugly thing" as a charging adapter until the OEMs begin to incorporate the technology standard into the devices they release.

I saw one of these devices in action over the weekend (my uncle owns one) and it was pretty slick, actually. The replacement covers for the cell phones he was charging on it look a lot less invasive than they appear in the picture. You can barely tell it is an add-on other than the color, and I would say the thickness is only altered by a millimeter at most from what I could tell.

Ohhh... I checked out their website... You can charge like 5 things at once.

Now you can charge your iPhone, your ipod, your other ipod, your other-other ipod, your backup razr! AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!

Please make an adaptor for electric toothbush!
And TV remote... seriously :|

Hmmm...
So lets see i plug in this wildcharge pad..
Then attach some ugly thing on my phone...
That way instead of plugging my phone in at night, i can place it on top of something that is plugged in and it will charge it! This is truly revolutionary!

And logical as my laptop having to be proped against my wireless router for "wireless" internet :D

*snicker*

Maybe if it could charge my phone from across the room i would consider it..
