3G is important in countries outside the USA. I am in Australia and in 2010 the 2.5G (EDGE) network will be switched off and we will only have 3G (and NextG/3.5G). WiMax has started here also. So, if the iPhone that was to be released here was only 2.5G/EDGE then it would have limited sales due to that technology being phased out.

OS X Leopard does in fact have A2DP stereo Bluetooth and it works like a charm.

What is the hype on the 3G iPhone?
Only advantage I see is that I’ll be able to use on international trips.
Brazil is already 3G.

Agree with rhett, surely A2DP for such a music orientated device is a must, I’ve been using it for a few years and any decent modern handset should have it.

I’m pretty sure the second gen iPhone will not support A2DP protocol. Current OSX doesn’t support streaming music so I doubt iPhone OSX will have it either.

GPS is important because using tower triangulation doesn’t provide a pinpoint location.

But will it have A2DP stereo Bluetooth?! That’s all I care about! Why is GPS such a big deal when the current tower triangulation works pretty well and is MUCH faster that GPS?
