LOL you need to do your research before you speak!!! You do not need ZiPhone at ALL!!! When you build custom firmware you have to select BSD subsystem otherwise Boot Neuter will throw ERROR message at you!!! There is no reason for the PWNAGE Tool if you have to use some buggy softwares like ZiPhone that bricked tons of iPhones… PWNAGE IS THE BEST AND ONLY SAFE WAY TO UNLOCK/JAILBRAKE IPHONES!!!

I FEEL BAD FOR PEOPLE THAT DONATED TO zibri AND HAD THEIR IPHONES BRICKED…

kk: I’m sure the result might be different for different iPhones – but when I use pwnage tool as a standalone, the baseband doesn’t work which means my iPhone isn’t allowed to make any phone calls. This holds true using pwnage on 1.1.4 (not allowed to make calls/edge) and 1.2 beta 2. However, after using ZiPhone, I was able to use the iPhone with any SIM – including non-ATT sims ie. T-Mo.

byron that iguy knows nothing hes a person with no knowledge… u dont need to listed to him … u do not need to use ziphone at all refer iphone-dev.org
just need to pwn the phone then build a custom ipsw and then restore tht custom ipsw on ur iphone

Word of caution for everyone looking to use iPhone OS 1.2 beta 3 with pwnage tool – Pwnage tool 1.0 does not work with iPhone OS 2.0 5A240d build. At least not yet. The updated version of Pwnage tool is expected to get release sometime this week.

Yep, you should restore the iPhone with the original 1.1.4. Then use ZiPhone…then pwn the iPhone with 1.1.4 THEN 1.2 if you have it. The problem with not using ZiPhone first is your baseband will not work. Basically you can’t make phone calls.

First you need to use ZiPhone to jailbreak the iPhone. Then use pwnage tool to build your custom ROM of 1.1.4 – then load it via iTunes. If you have iPhone OS 2.0 beta, you then need to use pwnage tool to build a custom ROM and then load via iTunes. Currently there isn’t a public release for beta 1.2 yet. Sorry I can’t go into more details on the how-to process of pwnage. Look around the internet for more details.

I Pawned my daughters iPhone and all I got was a Pineapple ! How do I Jailbreak and get the installer? Can I ziphone after I pawn ? Which fork should I use ?
