Sr. iPhone Support Rep position pays $30K per year

The iPhone is definitely a sophisticated beast – requiring that a new senior iPhone Support technician (hmm the title has a nice ring to it) to go through an intense 3-week training. Apple is responding to applicants this week for interviews next week in the Austin, TX location. New hires will start their training course right after Memorial Day.

The yearly salary max out at $30K, starting around $26K and that does not offer any relocation package. This sounds like a great opportunity for anyone looking to make a difference…go iPhone!

Thanks BTT.

Thats pretty weak. Who can live on 30K or would relocate for that salary? Apple charges a premium for all thier products, they should pay thier staff a little better!

  2. I honestly don’t think there’s much to being a Sr. iPhone Support Rep. Also, I doubt the person is targeted to well established professionals – but more towards people in their early 20′s with no family and can live on that income.

It maxes out at $30K? Weak. You can make more $$$ working at McDonalds I’m sure.

    $5.15 x 40 x 52 = $10,712

  5. I honestly think it’s a good starting salary – especially if you figure in the health care benefits and maybe $$$ bonus for being such a kick ass support rep. Then of course you should consider the oppurtunities for moving up or move into other departments within Apple.

I guess its a good start for someone young, without family, wife, or studen loans. I guess I overestimated what this job would entail, with the flashy name and relocation requirements.

  7. Moving to San Antonio is a big no-no for me – no matter how bad I want a job. What’s in San Antonio anyways – other than really humid weather :). j/k
