Somehow you are able to use your iPhone’s contact list to access the web. There are 9 steps all of which involve only the iPhone, no computer necessary, and then you are sort of able to surf the web with Safari and your selected WiFi network.

It involves a lot of iPhone freezes, so if your preciously pricey device freezing up makes you queezy, I wouldn’t attempt it. Basically though, it makes use of the contact list, and a glitch in the emergency number only dialing system.

iPhone bricked by Apple 1.1.1 update

So if you just bought your iPhone and are in a hurry to use it, but don’t have time to activate it, go for it. If you bricked your iPhone and are still waiting for the iPhone Dev Team to release a fix, but want to get some sort of use out of your iPhone, go for it.
