Lots of people out there wishing Apple to put an end to the whole unlocking activity. Sometimes articles and comments seem to imply that a new firmware will re-lock the phones. Well, good morning: Apple can’t force people to upgrade, and it happens that different keyboards, or louder volume, or wi-fi music store are definitely unimportant add-ons (unless you’re a teenager, of course). Like Lynn correctly says: I have a FW 1.0.2 unlocked iPhone, and it will stay so until a) Apple decides to do the reasonable thing, that is unlock the phones, or b) someone releases an easy and reliable method in order to unlock newer firmwares. So… a lot of noise for nothing.

If that became the case, I’m pretty sture they’d wear down the users too. Nobody would want to update their phones anymore.

Maybe they are going to keep releasing firmware updates in quick succession and wear down the iPhone Dev Team into stopping releasing an updated unlock program. That is what I would do if I wanted to put a stop to unlocking the iPhone.
