The iPhone release is still a couple months out, but if you want to get your video files ready to play on your iPhone, you can get started now.
Wondershare Inc. just released their Wondershare iPhone Converter Suite 2.0. Basically, you get a suite of software designed to take your video files and convert them so that they will play back on your iPhone. It even includes software to rip a DVD and convert it to play on one as well.
This does sound pretty cool, though I'm still going to wait to see how much battery life I'm going to get out of my iPhone before I go ripping my entire DVD collection and scaling it down. Also, is anyone else troubled by the fact that the software is already version 2.0, and the iPhone hasn't even been released?

Why pay for something you can do for free?
just download Handbrake and it will rip your DVD’s and convert them into an ipod-compatible file with adjustable video size settings
Wondershare is a very fishy company and has some very bad software. Impossible that they have tested this on an iPhone. They’re basically trying to sell you untested stuff.
