First, there was the launch of the new version of iTunes, that’s nice. This added the ability to make your own ringtones from iTunes purchased songs for an additional $.99 per use.

Second, there were the new colors for the Shuffle. It was also added to the PRODUCT (RED) line.

Third, we finally get hit with a new iPod, it’s the new Nano. It comes with some new games, a 24 hour long battery life, and 4 and 8 gigabyte sizes. their prices are $149 and $199 respectively.

Fourth, they hit us with the iPod Classic, my personal favorite. This one really is near and dear to my heart with a starting capacity of 80GB and its cohort sporting a 160GB drive. The battery lives are 25 and 40 hours respectively when playing music. Their prices are $249 and $349 respectively.

Fifth, is quite possibly the biggest announcement, the iPod Touch. If you want to know what it is, take an iPhone and subtract its cellular network access, Bluetooth, and Smartphone functions, everything else is still intact. The sizes are 8 and 16GB with prices of $299 and $399 respectively.

The Sixth, is the announcement of the Wi-Fi iTunes store and their partnership with Starbucks. Basically its all the same stuff, but made mobile, and songs you download on the go will sync with your PC the next time you dock it. Starbucks is set to be launching free wifi access to iPhones and the new iPod Touch’s and you will even be able to purchase the current or previous 10 tracks played at that starbucks right on your device.

The Seventh, (cardinal sins?) is the last, and the only one that really gives the iPod Touch announcement any competition. The iPhone’s price was dropped $200 and the 4gb one was done away with completely. So now the 8GB iPhone is only $399.

Well that’s all folks, its been a long hard road out of hell, but we came out of it with some sort of update for every single iPod in the lineup and 3 new ones. Plus a price drop for the Jesus Phone.
