PureMobile is making a wild claim that their unlocked version of the iPhone is coming soon. You want an iPhone and don’t want to get a new service plan or contract and expect it to work on any GSM carriers? No problem, because according to PureMobile’s unlocked iPhone, you can have it all. Right, I’ll believe it when I see it.

They doubt they’ll be able to meet the demand. They say they’ve seen demand for this phone that’s off the scale for any other mobile product launch they’ve been involved in.
Should this somehow be true, you ought prepare your pocket book to pay upwards of $1599.99 or more. An unlocked iPhone will not come cheap.

Are they going to provide some syncing software as well? I kind of doubt that iTunes will allow it to continue normal services knowing it’s not being used in conjunction with the AT&T agreement. After all, an iTunes account is *required* for setup. It will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out.
I dont see how the apple doesnt even allow you to carry an extra batter so you can replace it if it runs out and theres nowhere to plug it in to charge.

huh? Of course there is. The dock connector. Just like any iPod, you’ll plug it into your computer’s USB port and it will charge. If we continue the iPod analogy, there will be a plethora of accessories that will allow you to charge iPhone from a power brick or automobile. I’m sure disposable battery packs will also arrive much like the ones you can pick up for a few bucks from convenience stores that you plug directly into your phone or iPod. I’m not saying those are the best solutions, but that solutions will be abundant as they are now for the iPod.
