So you paid 500-600 for the iphone but did not want to pay the 300 dollar deposit (which means youll get it back) + youll save some $$ going with a plan?

I'm not getting the logic behind that.
That really stinks but you were fully aware that the iPhone requires a 2 year contract long before you started this whole mess. Ain't karma a bitch? Either return it or sign up like the rest of us poor slobs.
not if you got offered the pre paid account, i think you have to have it for aleast 3 months before you can cancel it.at least that is what my account says.

When you trade in your iPhone, the person behind the counter NEEDS to do some backend work in order for the new iPhone to properly activate. Looks like you had someone who didn't know what they were doing. If I were you, I demand they fix it. Period.

I dont think thats totally true cause you can always upgrade your account to a regular one I talked to at&t about that just yesterday as I am on a prepaid account and need to get a replacement today. they said there was no issue at all and to just bring it in and they would replace it due to battery issues.(is is dead every morning unless I leave it on a charger).

I'm not sure what was wrong with your phone or account but I have hd the exact opposite happen to me. My iPhone was damaged by the solution spray the comes with the all mighty, highly praised INVISIBLE SHIELD. Yes, that's tight the invisible shield! Be warned people. The spray will damage your iphone. But anyway, i sent mine in to apple and they sent me a loaner too. I put my card in it and it worked like a charm. Apple then sent me a brand new phone next day air. I only had the loaner for 1 day before apple took care of me. And when I got my new phone I just put my card in again and it reactivated yet again with no problem. Sorry to hear about your problem but the exchange of your phone as a lock out of a prepaid account must be surrounded by something else because my prepaid account switched over perfectly to the loaner and the new iPhone they sent me.
