Out and about with the iPhone in Alaska

I had an opportunity to visit Anchorage for a day and decided to swing by and meet with the gang at the Alaska Mac Store (the site is currently down for renovation). What a great group of people. It’s really unfortunate the iPhone isn’t available anywhere in Alaska. The main reason: at&t does not provide service anywhere, but instead partners with Cell One. The full report from this trip will be published tomorrow morning, so check back for more images and video interviews.

I just got back to 115+ degree weather in Phoenix this morning, aargh, I miss the cool weather in Alaska already!

Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the polar bar. Perhaps on my next trip.

Did you grow up in Alaska?

  3. Ray says:

Vincent, thanks so much for looking us up at the Alaska MacStore. None of had seen the iphone before Vincent came to town. Vincent was very generous and allowed all of us to not only see it but have the opportunity to use it. It looks like we should have AT&T service up here around the end of the year and we can’t wait!

And when you’re ready to come to Alaska – get the iPhone app that has video, discounts, promotions and cool Alaska wallpaper images.
