You are right, it is not an iphone competitor, but a multimedia device with a horrible operating system. I love a high end device like the n series that still feels like rubbish in your hands. Lets all pay premium for short upgrades ala nokia and Sony Ericsson! Marketshare kerplunk!

it’ll surelly sell… not as iphone competitor, but as a solid, well built nokia phone. i like nokia’s, these are the only phones that don’t easily brake when they fell on to the ground… :)

I agree, having a variety of phones to pick from is the only way to go. Just because the iPhone is perfect for one does not mean it’s right for the next. The Nokia N95 is a solid device. I’ve held in the palm of my hands…it’s going to sell.

Just Because a phone is out in one ara before another does not mean that it is better or even a competitor. It may mean that people buy the new Nokia phone while there isn’t an alternative in that market but that still does not mean it’s better or even in the same class of device.

too bad the phone is for europe and the iphone wont be out until next year in europe. What do you think will be better by then?

Aside from the 5MP camera and the office documents, there isn’t much there to offer competition to the iPhone. The user interface is lackcluster, clumsy and traditional. The MP3 playback functionality is awkward. It is a slider, not a touch screen. I don’t even see them as necessarily being the same class of phone.
