Apple has just released three new commercials to their website for the iPhone. This time, they deal directly with the App Store
According to MacRumors, the three ads are as follows:
- 'Lonely Planet': demonstrates downloading Lonely Planet's Mandarin Mobile Phrasebook in order to learn how to ask for a restaurant recommendation.
- 'Cro Mag': demonstrates downloading Pangea Software's Cro-Mag Rally and the use of the iPhone as a steering wheel for game control.
- 'Vicinity': demonstrates downloading ActiveGuru's Vicinity in order to find a nearby café and view its location on a map with directions.
Each ad focuses on a different app in order to show how users can access the App Store and download apps right onto their iPhones. Plus, it's really good promotion for these three apps. Fun stuff! You can watch all of the ads at the Apple website.

Perhaps their time would have been better spent fixing the problems with apps installed on the iphone. I notice that they don’t tell you that installed apps will repeatedly fail without warning causing you to spend several frustrating hours every day sorting out Apple’s mess.
