Native iPhone game wins Iron Coder 2nd prize

The iPhone gaming continues apace, with C-4 Iron Coder silver prize winners Lucas Newman and Adam Betts developing the handset’s first third-party native leisure app.  Lights Off is a version of a classic puzzle game, which oddly enough I owned myself (in the shape of a standalone handheld) when I was younger.

Lights Off - the iPhone's first native game

Gizmodo’s Jason Chen has been playing and recorded a short video – although the gameplay is not exactly mesmerising, from what I can remember the light effects are pretty much the same as the original.  It’s free to download, although you’ll need to hack your iPhone ever so slightly in order to use it.  Full instructions are on the download site.
