With this many applications/games I can not imagine how difficult it will be for Palm or Blackberry to attract customers away. The amount of money that individuals spend for the applications, plus the fun they are getting out of them, makes for something extra "sticky".

At first I used to dl only the free applications but as I started to read more and more about independent developers I could justify spending 3, 4, even 5 bucks (sometimes 9.99) for the high quality games.

Looking back to the "game" page on my phone I see that there is not one single free game on there. Maybe this is because I downloaded the "lite" version and spent the money to upgrade to the "full" version. Regardless, there is so many new games coming out every week it makes it so easy to drop 99 cents here and there. I would like to see somewhere in iTunes a total tally for how much has been spent. Then again... maybe I do not want to see that. haha.

Thanks for sharing the info!
