Mophie will launch its Juice Pack Air, a rechargeable external battery (as well as a case), for the iPhone 3G. Compared to the current model (called 3G Juice Pack), the new model offers better and full protection, integrated power switch, thinner and light-weight.

That purple case is luscious. If I didn’t already have an OtterBox case for my 3G, I’d be totally down with a Morphie case. All-day surfing on 3G or a Frankfurt to Seattle video-watching marathon, yum yum.
