If your ears are anything like mine (and my doctor assures me I'm not a total freak, so there must be others out there with the same issue) then standard headphones - as dangling on the ends of Apple's handsfree kit - just don't fit very well.  They either fall out every few seconds or I'm forced to screw them in so tightly it becomes painful... so that they only fall out every minute or so instead.  Headphones with the in-ear rubber gasket are far better, but so far you're out of luck if you want them with Apple's squeeze-to-answer microphone.  Luckily there are handy tinkerers out there who, for a price, will mash-up the OEM 'phones and a set of your choosing.

Ghengis, site admin over at CellPhonesMarket, paid $20 plus shipping (and sent his original iPhone headphones and a donor set) for the pair you see here; someone at AppleInsider carefully removed the OEM earbuds and soldered on the buds from a set of Crossroads Mylarone X3s.

Is there a place that will replace my oem headset with like the ones you have? I tried clicking “mash-up the OEM ‘phones and a set of your choosing” on you page but it did not work. Please help. Thanks, Jeff
