Miniot give your iPhone wood

Bought an iPhone?  Fed up with the attention?  Rather people think you were talking into a small, polished log?  Then maybe Miniot have the case for you: a delicious slab of mahogany with the logo and touching message of your choice engraved on the back.  Available this month – are you excited yet? – it has a sheet of polycarbonate across the front and cut-outs for saplings camera, headphones, buttons and dock connector.

It’ll be interesting seeing how the Miniot case affects iPhone heat issues some people have been experiencing.  Our own Ewdi has had some hot momentswith his iPhone, and while I can’t imagine it’d reach the point where the case became a small Wicker Man-style pyre for the handset it surely wouldn’t do it much good.

Are they really making one of these? I can’t imagine a phone covered in this. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this.

Yah it looks really classy but i just cant imagine how hot the phone would get with this on it. It would be realy bad, my phone already gets pretty hot without a case on it so i dont see it as a extremely practical situation.

holy hell, what an awesome shortcut! That was my biggest complaint about the keyboard. Awesome. Look at me type periods……weeee….

I prefer going semi-naked with the invisible SHIELD. Any that adds extra bulk take away from the beauty and light weight of the iPhone.

Nice, but very expensive. Substrata has some great looking wood iPhone and iPod cases at substrata.net which are a lot cheaper and a lot cooler looking.
