how bother when you’ll go for emergency call and hv to listen their ads and then you know that next end line is engaged.

Interesting view on the break-even method. This has been tried by having advertisement incrporated in calls, but wasn’t well targeted enough. Do you think caller behaviour will be handed over to Google in order to let them make it profitable to the carriers? It could mean a serious change to the business models. Not content is king, but knowing what us little people wish for.

I doubt there’s much to a Google phone, at least in competition to the iPhone.

Since Dr. Eric Schmidt, Google’s CEO, sits on Apple’s board, it would seem to be a major conflict of interest for Google to be releasing a knock-off w/o Apple’s permission.

There’s also Dr. Schmidt’s recent mention that they’re “doing more and more things together” which would imply Google’s doing some cool stuff for the iPhone, not against it.

Yes, Google is all powerful and Google search is perfect – simple/clean but when you try and look at the the add-ons from Froogle to translations to apps, it’s all just a jumble. Look at when you navigate from the front search page to MORE – it’s just a jumble – something Apple is rarely accused of. Google’s UI beyond the search is all over the board.

So, yes, they will get some things right but a Google phone might as well be a Linux phone – it will have some powerful customized features and that will appeal to some but most people do not want to have to download code to get something to work.

Is the Prada phone even color? The Prada phone is also like $200-$300 MORE than the iphone. It’s life span is pretty 2 months – after June, you might as well be wearing last year’s shoes.

the Prada phone is just that – a phone. It’s beautiful in every respect. However, it does lack a lot of key features like storage, wifi/3G (not to mention it’s only a tri-band phone). Lacks a qwerty keyboard (virtual or real). Battery life is only so-so. So the Prada phone is not a realistic comparison to the iPhone.

prada came out much earlier then iphone did.
