Make your own iFlash camera flash for the iPhone

So maybe it’s less of a flash, and more of a camera light, as there doesn’t appear to be any flashing mechanism. There is, however a busted iPod charger, and some LEDs involved.

It looks like basically he put 4 LEDs and a switch inline with the power output pins of the iPhones dock connector. Which means you can leave it connected and off, then turn it on when you need it, or, since it kind of looks like crap, you can leave it in your pocket until you need it.

Word is, its not too great, but I hear the iPhone’s camera isn’t much to brag about either. There are instructions on how to build your own if you want, or you could carry a separate camera with a flash, I mean, the iPhone already does a lot for you, why not give it a break and let something else be your camera?
