Analysis of what's in and what's missing from the leaked iPhone v1.1.3 firmware continues in earnest, with the current state of thought being that while the software Gear Live have acquired is seemingly legitimate, it may not in fact be in its final form.  Authenticity for the as-yet-unannounced v1.1.3 gained support from some patent-digging over at hrmpf.com, who managed to match up the 'wiggling' icons and rearrangeable Home screen to a previously granted Apple patent; compare their animation (constructed from patent illustrations) with the video Gear Live released:

MacScoop have also heard that a long-awaited addition to the iPhone's repertoire, cut & paste functionality, is also due to be added to v1.1.3, together with increased stability and the final banishment of certain visual glitches which have occasionally marred the handset.  An updated version of Google Maps (that includes the search company's new localisation tool as well as the hybrid view familiar to anybody who has used the desktop version), mass SMS sending and an ability to add new pages to the home screen (presumably to accommodate third-party software once the official iPhone SDK is released in February).

Although the exact implementation of copy & paste functionality is as yet unknown, it could look like this fan mockup we featured in August last year.
