Could this be the new Apple ultraportable?  The short answer is that nobody knows; a new sign-up to the MacDaily messageboard posted the photo and very little else, leaving everyone to make up their own minds whether this is the machine Steve Jobs will be announcing at MacWorld later this month.

 Supposed

In terms of ergonomics, the extended trackpad would fit in with rumors that Apple have been working on MultiTouch interfaces for the MacBook ranges; however, that long button is causing many to pause and suspect the photo is not quite what it seems.  Personally, I'm no PhotoShop expert but the shadow at the leading edge looks wrong to my eyes.  Plus the button itself just appears... wrong, somehow.

Still, with MacWorld on the 15th, we don't have long to wait to find out the truth.  Remember, SlashGear will be liveblogging the whole keynote, so bookmark the page now!

This is a Fake. The enviroment screams college dorm room, not Apple campus. Plus, that’s a first gen Nano in that dock; most people who work at apple gave those up some time ago.

Fake. The physical button will never span the entire width of an extended trackpad.
