It has the full touchscreen controls. Took the interface from the iPhone and put it in an iPod.

It has the same multitouch interface as the iPhone too. There are even apps including calendar, clock, contacts, calc, settings, and more.

It has CoverFlow, Video (funny, the demo was of Weeds, Steve tokes it up on the weekends), and the same gestures as the iPhone. Its confirmed, it also has WiFi and Safari.

There is also YouTube support. There was a hint towards wireless song transfers, nothing official though. There are 8 and 16 gigabyte versions. $299 and $399 respectively. The battery life is 22 with music and 5 with video.

awesome. iPhone lite–without the phone app :)
Does that mean that iPhone II models will be available in 8/16 GB? :)
*Still crosses fingers for 3G, larger capacity iPhone with more apps*

i have the classic ipod, and want the itouch. I currently have a FM transmitter to listen to my ipod in my car, will most transmitters that fit the other ipods be compatiable with the itouch? Or will I need to wait for apple to come out with that? Thanks!!!!!!

all the older stuff, as long as it has a dock connector, is supposed to work with the new iPods, but it might be like with the iPhone where almost everything old works with it but there are a few things that dont, but yes, everything i supposed to still work
