iPhoneSIMFree the first to release an unlock again

So, in the no big surprise there category, iPhoneSIMFree, the people who make money from unlocking phones, have figured out a way to unlock version 1.1.1 phones. What was nice about the iPhoneSIMFree unlock when apple release 1.1.1 was that those phones weren’t bricked, just re-locked back to AT&T.

So, even better than iPhoneSIMFree releasing a 1.1.1 unlock, is that the software will also un-brick any iPhone that was unlocked with anySIM or iUnlock when you upgraded to 1.1.1. They also thanked/gave credit to, the iPhone Dev Team for Jailbreaking the new firmware, which is apparently required for the iPhoneSIMFree software to work.

So, a free unlock is nice, but, maybe the $50 to get your iPhone unlocked by iPhoneSIMFree is worth it to not have your phone bricked every time Apple releases and update and to have someone who will support their product with rapid updates. If not though, its only a matter of time now before the iPhone Dev Team releases a free unlock.
