I’m loving the iPhone but believe Apple have deliberately crippled the bluetooth functions. I can understand they don’t want us swapping music files…but come on…photos too?? And why no flash? Even the standard blackberry has a perfectly functional flash. Play the game Apple…!

I got the iphone just before Christmas and although the bluetooth picture swapping is a prob, if it was that important I’d download/upload pics from itunes on my PC to the phone.

The camera doesn’t have a flash unlike my crappy LG Renoir which did produce excellent photos so if I go out at night, guess what…I take a compact digital camera!

Other than this I ADORE my iphone 3gs and can’t put it down.

Message to whoever comes up with a “bluetooth to other mobiles pic sharing” App……..you’re gonna make s***loadsa cash launching this!!!

You are all idiots. You say it is a piece of shit because there is no certain functionality. There is not a phone on the market that can do all the things an iPhone can do, are you all hoping for a utopian dream phone? If what is out there is so bad, go desing and build your own. Or are you too stupid to do that?

Seriously some of you are incredibly stupid.

Me, I don’t like the iphone, not because of it is shit, I just prefer a simple phone without all the added hoopla that is really not required for a normal human being.

the iPhone’s bluetooth is purposely “dumb” (as some IDIOTs call it). It supports all bluetooth protocols, apple havn’t got round to developing apps for them. delevopers can still write apps for all those protocols, but i don’t think any know about ^ that.

What a bunch of kneejerk whingers you are. The iPhone doesn’t have full Bluetooth (yeah, disappointing) and suddenly it’s “a pile of shit” and you all “wish you had never bought it”??? Just a slight overreaction! It’s got a shit camera too but I still think it’s one of the most amazing phones ever released.

To be honest, I’d be glad if you did dump your iPhones cos you sound like the idiots we get reviewing apps on the Store complaining that 59p is too much to pay and thinking Apple write all the apps.

I have just purchased the iphone 3gs 3 days ago, but now i realise just like everyone else hear it is a piece if sh*t! I did check out the details on the apple site prior to purchase and there was no mention of how limited the bluetooth is, so i am feeling very cheated!. Surely there would be a upgrade available to use bluetooth to send a recieve pictures etc… ? If not then why isn’t apple making one, like right now!!! Give us what we want and what everyother phone offers as a standard feature and have been doing long before the iphone was here.

If you know of any upgrade of anything that would enable me to use my bluetooth to send and recieve picture etc please let me know.

BTW: I guess that I am being naive, but I have the phone hooked into my home WiFi and have been using it in the home under the impression that I am not racking up hours on my cellular network. Am I really being naive or stupid? On second thought, maybe you shouldn’t answer that…

Just got the iphone 3Gs last week and have been actually enjoying it (i’m embarrassed to say this given all the fireworks in the above postings). I found your discussion since I have been trying to pair my ipaq 110 to the iphone. I actually got them to pair. The iphone knows about the pda and has identified and ditto the ipaq with the iphone, but i have not been able to connect them. It’s not clear to me that it’s not possible, just the security designations or something, but if I understand all the above rantings (no offense) I shouldn’t waste my time…your comments?

I wanted to buy a folding keyboard like the Freedom Universal, so I don’t have to carry a large laptop with me but now I see that HID and SPP are not supported. I guess the iPhone is not for people who work for a living. Where did I put that Blackberry brochure…

This whole Bluetooth situation with the i-phone is rediculous! I have photos on my old phone from years ago that I can’t send over, including a picture of my dog that I tragically lost last year. I have had her picture as my display background since I lost her to remind me of her and now Apple wont let me have that! Great! I have had the i-phone all of a week and had nothing but trouble with it.
