last i checked, the iphone DIDN’T have IM software, so clearly your iPhone IS missing software that you want on it, you just werent aware of it yet

I agree, the iPhone is the best communication device ever. However, what’s (I still don’t get) the big deal about native 3rd party apps? I’ve heard people say the iPhone is near perfect, and 3rd party apps would do the trick. I think that the web based apps on offer are amazing, but aside from making calls, getting email, setting appointments and instant messaging, what more is there to demand out of this device (besides being an amazing video touchscreen iPod)? What the heck are these magical apps and who said my iPhone is really missing them?

The iPhone really is the real deal.

I bought mine after using a collegues’ for a day.

An amazing device that blows my Blackberry out of the water.

The UI is a JOY to use.
