Following the release of iPhone 3.1 with the accompanying SDK for developers earlier this month, Apple has seeded iPhone developers with iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 and iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2. Noticed that the Wi-Fi connection feature offered by the version is "huge for developers".

Does anyone know whether this new beta of 3.1 has fixed the issues with battery life in the 3gs? I ask because the battery life on my 3gs is crap and i was hoping this new update would solve that problem.
I hope that will solve the problem because the battery is really very bad at it I was disappointed

just a little tip for anyone with battery life problems go into settings and turn your brightness “auto-adjust” off…double my battery life.

Umm yeah, apple needs to fix the battery in 3.0 i charge the phone 100% tried every method i could to stop it from heating up and draining the battery, but it’s still doing it. I’m going to resrore to 2.2.1 then wait til 3.1 comes out and again. APPLE FIX BATTERY PROBLEM
Might be worth checking your wifi settings, my battery life improved no end after switching it off. Ever since the 3.0 update it never found mine or any other router in the world, ever. It’s constant attempts to find one was the probable cause. Fingers crossed they fix this with 3.1, rumours indicate it does! Time will tell
I called Apple because I kept dropping calls since I upgraded to 3.0 and 3.0.1. I was told to talk to an “Apple Genius” and they would replace my phone for free. I call and explain why I need to make an appointment and was told that about 500,000 customers are experiencing the battery drain and call dropping. I was told it would be fixed in the next update in September/October. I hope so because it is very bad for business to drop calls and see full bars for signal.

yeah battery is one story. but Flash drive that is able to view the site that use flash is another story. Ever since the first generation of iphone came out. Many customer has been complain about that.. when will this be fix?
