I got an ipod touch thinking I could use it to listen directly to podcasts from the web, like I do constantly with my MacBook -boy was I wrong! It’s completely useless as it is for that purpose.

This points out how Apple is following the Microsoft model, which is exactly the wrong model to follow. I have no doubt it will doom the touch and phone. I want a device that lets me freely access the web, not just the parts Apple wants me to access because they don’t interfere with its business model. Pandora is off, podcasts are off, flash videos are off. How is that a “web device”?

That would clearly explain why they rejected the podcasting app. They probably already started the work when that app came across their desk

I love it. I dont sync regulary so my podcast are always outdated. This would realy open the whole podcasting more to the iphone.
