Furthermore, any clear evidence in the code of how Apple is looking for unlocked phones and deliberately breaking them will be damning, and might be useful against them in a lawsuit. Anything that can be done to get the 1.1.1 bricked iPhones working to spec (activated by iTunes working with an at&t sim on an iPhone plan) will show apple to be less than credible.
