WWDC is tomorrow as you all well know, and this week has been one of expectation, and preparation for what we all hope will be the launch of the by now mythological 3G iPhone. This week started with bad news for Apple, when it was revealed that Apple's iPhone lost market share in the first quarter. Apple is surely hoping the 3G iPhone can restore the iPhone name to glory.

This week an entire attack of iPhone rumors hit the web. According to them, the GPS in the iPhone has been confirmed. The sources also say that the 3G iPhone will in fact be smaller, and thinner. It will also get better battery life to boot. Perhaps the most interesting one, is the 3G iPhone will come in a 32GB flavor. As a result, if the current trends hold true, the iPod Touch should double as well to 64GB.

It was announced that SoftBank in Japan would be the exclusive carrier of the iPhone in that country. An interesting thing about Japan, is they have done away with GSM. They only have W-CDMA, which is the 3G that the 3G iPhone will have. This of course means that without a shadow of a doubt, the iPhone will be 3G soon.

We have made an extensive rumor round up and wish list for the new iPhone. On the list, I went over things I feel need to be included in the new iPhone. I also took the time to find a few rumors and let you know what is going on. Top of the list includes GPS, 3G(of course), and better battery life.

We saw a rumor this week that the new iPhone would come in a smaller screen size, with two models. The source of the rumor is supposedly an Apple manufacturing partner, who has shown us some cases from the new iPhone. One thing that disappoints is if these do turn out to be true, than there is in fact no front facing camera for video calls.

It has been revealed that Apple will be renaming .Mac to Mobile Me. This has been confirmed thanks to several localized strings found in iCal. Remember to stay locked on iPhone Buzz tomorrow morning, and to follow our live cast, at live.iphonebuzz.com. WWDC is in less than 24 hours, and all eyes will be on Apple.

I was looking to buy an old iPhone, but I didn’t realize that it was only days away from the WWDC where Apple might release a newer iPhone. Luckily I didn’t buy the iPhone. Thanks so much to this artical.

Sure would like it better if it came with a Phraze-It Keyboard for typing on-screen.
