I cannot wait for this Product to come to the UK, I have 2 phones both with varying PDA functions wished they were both merged into one, life will be a lot easier and because I travel on the the train a lot I do have my music on the go (Ipod). I have often wondered what life would be like if carried just one device that allowed me to make calls, organise my schedules and documents and surf the web. I just hope the Battery Life is better than what we got on the Ipods and comes without the £50.00 bbattery replacement charge they currently ask for.
I wonder how long we will have to wait for and no doubt we will be paying double the price……our friends across the pond are so lucky.
I know how you feel, our editor Chris Davies is in Manchester - I can't wait to get him one!

I'm starting a brand new cycle today with a full charge to make but my experience with the iPhone's battery have not been favorable either. I wont run our results until I am absolutely see, but at this point it doesnt look too good.

Anyways, one reason I think the battery is dying much faster of because I'm using exchange push by Microsoft. Is anyone else using the same?

Yesterday I had the second full charge on my phone, and my experiences was, 1 hour of calls, 10 txt messages, 2.5 hours of WiFi internet, 5 emails total (sent/received).

When I got home at 6pm, I still had about 50% of my battery left. I wanted to get the battery down just once, so at 8pm I got on and watched more youtube, online apple trailers, a couple emails and a couple text messages. The battery lasted me until 10pm before I got my 10% battery left message. I sent a few text messages after that, and got it back on a charger at 10:50pm.

So I got a good 4.5 hrs of internet/video use plus 1 hour of talk time. Way more than I would ever do on a normal day, and so far exceeding my HTC S620 that I was using prior. There is NO comparison. I was lucky to get 16 hours of idle push email service with that.

Chris, this is Richard Baguley, the editor of wirelessinfo.com. Our review was published on friday, but we have been updating through the weekend with results such as this; these results were not added until Sunday. The result you mention was from our first set of battery tests; we are running more to further examine this. Also, as we mentioned in the review, we test with default settings, which leaves the WiFi on. Apple's battery life was obtained by turning the WiFi off, and we are running more tests as I type with several different sets of settings to obtain more data.
