Hello clever points.. now why didn't i consider those? Off subject barely, is this web page pattern merely from an ordinary installation or else do you use a personalized template. I use a webpage i'm seeking to enhance and well the visuals is probably going one of many key issues to finish on my list.

I just got this phone yesterday because the new Samsung Instinct (got it Thursday night) did not work for me as far as not having the forced Roaming feature like some of the older Sprint phones. I need this feature because I use my phone, more than anything, at my job. Sprint told me that the newer phones coming out will NOT have a forced roaming feature because of the $$$$$$. Don't know what I'll do by the time that happens.

I came from palm technology, so this phone is obviously taking much more time to get used to. I haven't been able to research and play with it as much as I'd like, but at this point, the two main things I've tried to do (syncing and set up of work email) haven't worked. HELP!!! My syncing keeps getting errors in connection. I feel like I can't play with this phone if I can't even begin this part of it correctly.

Hi...I've had my mogul for about 2 months now and I really like it. I love the large screen and the key board for quick typing. I pretty much use all of the features on it and I am constantly learning all of the other things that it does.

Only thing that disappoints me is not being able to view youtube videos. I used to have a Palm Centro and the videos viewed just fine. You would think that a phone as sophisticated as the Mogul would let you do pretty much anything. To bad that isn't the case.

As far as the two flashing lights, I like them. And I think that they attract a lot of attention and add to the phones sophisticated appearance. However at night I have to turn my phone face down because if I didn't then the lights would keep me up. They blink like an outdoor store sign or something. It is as if they are saying 'look at how cool I am!' There is no way to miss them. They are really big for a phone and they blink so brightly that a blind person could probably see them.(small chuckle) I could probably use them for flashing traffic lights! (Lol) Anywho, I still like them though. I kind of wish that it gave me the option to change the color of the lights to maybe pink and blue or purple instead of the green. Or maybe it would be neat if it allowed me to assign a certain color to a contact for the my missed calls.

Recently I downloaded a S2U2 interface which locks the phone similar to the Iphone and it also displays how many text messages or voicemails that you have in a better format. The software allows you to see who called you without having to click notication and it allows the pictures of your caller to show full screen.

I also downloaded a contacts program that is similiar to the Iphone and it lets me scroll thru my contants with the touch of a finger. It is really neat. It replaces the regular contacts format but you still have access to it if you want to edit or view. And you can view your text messages and scroll thru them with your finger as well just like an Iphone.
Eventually Im hoping to have my phone work completely like the Iphone. I saw a comment from I believe Tony who said that he did his for only ten dollars. Can you let me know how I can go about doing that? Thank you.

I have owned my Mogul for about 2 weeks now. This is mainly in reference to the questions about the SDHC microSD cards. There is a .cab file (google "SDHC.cab for Mogul") and you should be able to find somewhere to download it. I just ordered a 8GB SDHC card but it hasn't arrived yet. I will post again once I have had a chance to load the SDCH.cab file onto my Mogul and test the card.

I have enjoyed the phone..a replacement for the treo 650--not at all. But it has the functions I need that the 650 does not. It would be an issue for the road warrior I must admit, But I love the phone. It depends on what you are doing with it. The only issue I have is the blinking lights are a little too much. Thunderstorm last night, and I thought the storm went on much longer because the blinking green light lit up the room, but I am sure there will be something to get past that soon.
I was told by the sptint guy that sprint tv and navigation just don't play well with windows mobile....sounds like a sprint issue.

I ordered my mogul 6800 the other day and I am waiting impatiently for it to get here! I have researched and researched and this seems to be what most people have recommended and review are generally good. Is this phone ever going to be able to get Sprint TV? I am a little nervous about this being an actual mini computer and hope I won't have trouble working it. Please let me know how you like it.

Agree with Frank here on a lot of points.Definetly seems like RevA is functioning.I got mine 2 weeks ago.

Definetly look into the software hacks for this thing!Wow the things you can do.Streaming video.Flash.Cingular music recognition software.etc.

But about the SDHC cards I am curious what brand MATT is using and whether or not he check to see how much it was seeing(as Frank mentioned it was only seeing 1.7GB of a 4GB card,it still accepted the card but only "saw" 1.7 GB).

Hey Frank did you try to see whether you can load the 4GB card with say 3.7 GB worth of files and then see if you can view them all, irregardless of what it "says" it can see?

Saw a couple of things here worth commenting on, I have had mine about a month.

At least for me locally, the device supports RevA upload / download out of the box. This is in the Chicago suburbs. It has to be RevA (personality type 1 if you really know the guts of the technology) since I gut an upload of 300kbps, and that isn't possible with Rev0. I'm in crappy RF when I'm at home, presumably it would be higher if I were in better RF.

Uploads...I've seen above 1 Mbps/second with large file transfers to the memory card (like downloading firefox for example).

EVDO and Wifi are what I expected.

But I will also reflect some other comments here; some of the apps appear to have memory leaks, which on Windows Mobile leads to instability after a while. In particular, if you inadvertently launch multiple copies of the same application because the phone didn't appear to respond, even if you close them all out it doesn't seem to leave the phone too healthy.

Internet Explorer sucks. Opera seems to have fixed that for $24.

Windows Media sucks as well, but it will stream radio over the internet (either Wifi or EVDO). I am using conduits.com Pocket Player, and that isn't too bad. But it also appears to have memory leak issues if you run it for days at a time.

The phone app sucks too, seems to be the same thing they delivered with the XV 6600 3 years ago. Button presses, even though the give the visual indication/flash seem to be ignored sometimes. You don't want to try and dial this thing while driving. If you are a road warrior that needs to take calls while driving, this phone is not for you.

No "workable" youtube that I've seen so far, but this would seem to be a good platform for it.

But what brought me here tonight was curiosity about SD HC cards. I tried a 6 GB HC card, and that was a resounding flop; only sees 1.7 GB.

Was going to try a 4 GB SD HC card, but Amazon has a warning that if your device doesn't have the HC logo on it, not likely it will work.

Am curious if someone can post a model number of one that at least should work.

Overall, I like the device because the display is larger, and I have a much larger choice of apps than the brew device I was coming from. But as a phone, I personally don't think this was ready for prime time.

But the data's good, and it's the only RevA device you can hold in your hand today. I bought it to be a sort of i-phone, and for that it seems to do okay. Wish the battery would last longer, but I'm near a USB port 10 hours a day or in the car usually. So this doesn't affect me that much.

I did discover that you can do a Windows XP style reboot by holding the power key to force the handset to shutdown, rather than just wacking the reset or removing the battery.

This is miles ahead of Motorola's Q and the 6700 IMHO.

Windows Media sucks as well, but it will stream radio over the internet (either Wifi or EVDO). I am using conduits.com Pocket Player, and that isn’t too bad. But it also appears to have memory leak issues if you run it for days at a time.

The phone app sucks too, seems to be the same thing they delivered with the XV 6600 3 years ago. Button presses, even though the give the visual indication/flash seem to be ignored sometimes. You don’t want to try and dial this thing while driving. If you are a road warrior that needs to take calls while driving, this phone is not for you.

No “workable” youtube that I’ve seen so far, but this would seem to be a good platform for it.

But what brought me here tonight was curiosity about SD HC cards. I tried a 6 GB HC card, and that was a resounding flop; only sees 1.7 GB.

Was going to try a 4 GB SD HC card, but Amazon has a warning that if your device doesn’t have the HC logo on it, not likely it will work.

Am curious if someone can post a model number of one that at least should work.

Overall, I like the device because the display is larger, and I have a much larger choice of apps than the brew device I was coming from. But as a phone, I personally don’t think this was ready for prime time.

But the data’s good, and it’s the only RevA device you can hold in your hand today. I bought it to be a sort of i-phone, and for that it seems to do okay. Wish the battery would last longer, but I’m near a USB port 10 hours a day or in the car usually. So this doesn’t affect me that much.

I did discover that you can do a Windows XP style reboot by holding the power key to force the handset to shutdown, rather than just wacking the reset or removing the battery.

This is miles ahead of Motorola’s Q and the 6700 IMHO.

I have replaced my Treo 650 with the Mogul, have hated every minute with the damn thing. Have to reboot it once every two weeks, and I haven't installed anything on it. Not even "on demand".

The palm device was far more useful and user friendly. For example, the phone virtual buttons change places based on what you are doing. It is very annoying to have the call history button change places all the time...and why do I have to change modes for a keypad or the ability to turn on my speaker phone.

Also, every time I use the wifi, I have to turn off the phone portion or it will make a phone call instead of using the wifi. you can't even force the wifi to be default for IE.
I read somewhere yesterday that this actually DOES support sdhc format (and then I ordered one. Did I just waste my money on that sdhc card?
No you should be fine. I have a SDHC 4GB MicroSD card in my Mogul right now and it works perfectly.
